Hydrasun’s vision is become the clear market leader in the integration, site installation and maintenance of Hydrogen systems within UK and Europe. They needed their new website to communicate their vision for the future and how they are going to grow and expand within the new energy landscape.
As this fast changing energy environment is highly complex, an interactive map could be a way of communicating, in a highly visual and dramatic way, the big picture of the whole energy service landscape that Hydrasun was busy developing.
Jamie Cameron created a series of visually stunning 3D maps as the main focus of the overall design and worked with ourselves on coming up with dynamic ways of allowing users to drill down into different sectors of the landscape for more detailed information.
We came up with a series of animated ‘hotspots’ to highlight each area of operation. Clicking on these would create both a ‘zoom-in’ on the map area to give more visual detail about the service area and a popup to allow for more textual information and further links to related areas on the website.
The rest of the website – including its product inventory, downloads and extensive library of technical information – was organised with a clear structure and multiple menus to help guide the visitor to their target destination.
The new website is helping Hydrasun to achieve their primary goal of communicating their vision.
The interactive map not only allows for drilling down into detail but gives a visual for the overall scale and future development of its growing array of services.
The well thought out UI also makes it simple for clients to browse, select and enquire about products and services directly from the website.
